• Fencing pliers
• Pocket knife (one-handed opening, lock blade)
• Horse and human First-aid kit (must contain bandaging sufficient for suppressing excessive bleeding)
• Saddle bags
• Hoof pick
• Canteen or water bottle etc.
• Compact binoculars (nothing fancy! Spend no more than $20, these are going in your saddle bags)
